NEWS RELEASE – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
August 17, 2022, LEXINGTON, S.C. — The Lexington One Educational Foundation recently welcomed three new members to its board of directors: Katrina Bryant, Sue H. Carter and Chris Goumas.
- Katrina Bryant is the Columbia Plant Controller with Westinghouse Electric.
- Sue H. Carter is an Interventionist and Reading Recovery teacher for Pleasant Hill Elementary and the 2022-23 Lexington District One Teacher of the Year.
- Chris Goumas is the Site Director for Michelin North America of Lexington, SC.
Each board member will serve a three-year term with the exception of the Lexington District One Teacher of the Year, who serves for one year. Board members are instrumental in leading the Educational Foundation’s charitable endeavors to serve and support Lexington County School District One.
“We are excited to welcome each of these individuals to the Educational Foundation’s Board of Directors,” said Foundation Executive Director Julie Anderson Washburn. “Each new member brings a different perspective to the board, but all share a commitment to and passion for Lexington County School District One.”
Foundation Board of Directors Chair Chris Rice shared, “We are delighted and thankful to have these community leaders join our board and donate their time and talents to help the Educational Foundation fulfill its mission to support great educational opportunities in Lexington School District One.”
In addition, Lexington District One Interim Superintendent Dr. Gerrita Postlewait and Chief Financial Officer Jennifer Miller join the foundation’s board as Ex-Officio members. They replace former Superintendent Dr. Greg Little and former Chief Operations Officer Jeff Salters, who will retire this month.
