Successful Results for Foundation’s 2018-2019 LEAP Campaign

November 13, 2018

November 13, 2018: Annually as our school year kicks off, the Lexington One Educational Foundation also launches its internal employee giving program, the LEAP Campaign. Funded solely by donations from caring Lexington One employees, this worthwhile endeavor enables its dedicated teachers and staff to give back to Lexington One.

The LEAP funds assist our District in a number of important ways. First, the Lexington Emergency Assistance Plan offers financial assistance and/or in-kind services to the District’s students and employees who are experiencing a crisis and need temporary help to get through a challenging time. Second, the Lexington Education Assistance Plan supports the district’s learning initiatives. In the past, these funds have paid for leadership programs in numerous schools and built a STEM lab at Carolina Springs Middle School, which are educational priorities that could not be funded through the district’s budget. In the last two years, this fund has provided $59,500 worth of books to our 17 elementary schools to support elementary literacy.

We are so very thankful for our amazing Lexington One employees who donated to the Foundation’s LEAP Campaign this year! More than 2,600 chose to give to LEAP this year, which is almost 67%! Here are the results:

Lexington Emergency Assistance Plan: Total contributions – $118,911.58
