August 21, 2018

August 21, 2018, LEXINGTON, S.C. — Nephron Pharmaceuticals Corporation and CEO Lou Kennedy continued their support of the next generation with a donation to the Lexington One Educational Foundation.

Kennedy recently presented a $9,000 check to the Foundation for Lexington Technology Center.

This donation will pay the required student fees for 30 students to take the Pharmacology for Medical Careers course at offered at LTC during the 2018–2019 school year.

This is the second year that Nephron has supported this program in an effort to open the class to all students in Lexington One, regardless of the cost of the class. Nephron staff have also been wonderful to visit the class and share their industry knowledge with the students taking this course.

Simeon Bryant, chair of the Educational Foundation, expressed his most heartfelt appreciation to Lou Kennedy at the August Board of Trustees meeting, “We are so grateful to corporate partners like Nephron Pharmaceuticals whose leaders provide support and career guidance to the students in Lexington One. Lou Kennedy is terrific to continue to support her alma mater and its students through her generosity to the Foundation and LTC.”
