October 12, 2022: The Lexington One Educational Foundation was fortunate to receive many back-to-school supplies this year to assist students in need. The foundation staff worked with a number of local businesses that held school supply drives in an effort to assist with students’ back to school needs. Accordingly, these groups then donated all of these items to the Educational Foundation, so that Lexington District One social workers could give them to students with financial need.

Donated items included colorful yet sturdy backpacks, notebooks, composition notebooks, pens, pencils, crayons, markers, dividers, notebook paper, pencil pouches and more.

The businesses that were kind to think of our Lexington District One students included the following:

  • Commercial Metal Company Recycling
  • Lexington County Community Development
  • Publix Supermarkets
  • VFW Auxiliary 8738

If you know an individual or company that may wish to financially support Lexington County School District One through our Educational Foundation endeavors or events, please contact Julie Anderson Washburn, foundation executive director, at 803-821-1008 or jwashburn@lexington1.net. It’s only through the generosity of many that the Educational Foundation can assist and support Lexington District One students, teachers and schools!
