Foundation Drive Successful to Help Needy Students

September 1, 2017

September 1, 2017: During the month of August 2017, the Lexington One Educational Foundation held a Back to School Drive in Central Services. The previous year the Foundation collected school supplies, but this year we instead focused its our efforts on the needs of those students who find themselves temporarily out of a home and in an emergency situation. Our Lexington One social workers appreciate having Emergency Kits on hand to give to each of the students and the members of their families who find themselves in these desperate situations.

The results was terrific, as the Foundation collected many items including the following:

  • Toothbrushes
  • Toothpaste
  • Bath Towels
  • Washcloths
  • Hand Sanitizer
  • Small First Aid Kits
  • Shampoo
  • Body Wash
  • Deodorant
  • Hair Brushes
  • Ibuprofen
  • Band-Aids
  • Lotion
  • Soal
  • Q-Tips
  • Large Plastic Garment Bags

Many thanks to everyone who made a donation this year gave to this worthwhile effort!
