March 30, 2018

March 30, 2018: The BAPS Charities Columbia will again hold their WalkGreen2018 this spring and part of the proceeds will benefit the Lexington One Educational Foundation. The event will be on Sunday, April 29, 2018, at Saluda Shoals Park (5605 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212). Registration starts at 10:00 AM and the event will begin around 11:00 AM.

Foundation board member (and past chair) Hayley Bowers attended in 2017 and said, “The BAPS Charities Walkathon was an awesome and very well organized event. The walkathon volunteer organizer, Vandan Shah, did a terrific job. I was pleased to see several River Bluff High School students participating in it, too, to raise funds for the Lexington One Educational Foundation, the NatureConservancy, and the nationwide initiative to plant a billion trees!“

The local walk that is sponsored by BAPS Charities Columbia, SC center is part of a larger, nationwide effort to plant a billion trees in 3 years through donations to The Nature Conservancy.
